Chris Carpenter vs. Max Scherzer
- I haven't been able to write about Scherzer, but I will surely put an article up pretty soon. In my opinion, this pitcher will most definately go down as one of the best ever injury permitting. Only a couple of words need to be said: a 99 MPH SINKER. Hitting a 90 MPH sinker is hard enough, but when the hitter can not even see the ball, well then it gets impossible and unfair.
- On the other hand, Chris Carpenter, who comes off just his second start in two seasons, is pitching even better than his Cy Young year. In his last start, Carpenter threw seven innings of one-hit ball.... Amazing.
Prediction:
- St. Louis defeats Arizona 2 to 1.
